Eternal Musings of the Tormented

Am I your Sin?

The singular transgression branded in

Your thoughts; pervading

Every dream until you wake

Drenched in desire for

The touch you long for?

Am I your Prayer?

The passion play memorized upon

First sight, the

Icon in the temple to whom you whisper

Novenas of love?

Am I your Salvation?

The goddess of the garden, offering forth

Ambrosia and nectar so sweet, it is the only

Taste you crave?

Am I your Damnation?

The poison flower blooming on

Your prison wall; the sorceress who holds the key

That unlocks your darkest fantasies?

The actual title of the poem is Eternal Musings of the Tormented...

Those of you who have been reading my poetry for a few years know that I'm not just an angsty poet, but a lustful poet as well. In fact, I was once accused of being too lustful...HA! One can never be too lustful!

This poem was inspired by words from my friend Monika Orkisz, although her words were sweet and tender, mine...not so much. And when I finished writing this one, it seemed a bit incomplete, as if I should provide answers to the questions I posed. I thought again and decided it best to leave that up to the reader.
