Standing on the precipice Of Eternity, The Fallen weep Their poisoned tears. Quivering, their moans a tortuous Symphony of sorrow. Unfurl your wings, O Unholy one And behold Your minions of beauty As they writhe in unison To arias sung In the key of lament. Come hither, wanton goddess Scream with desire beneath His phantom touch. Surrender to his sinful embrace And fall into the rhythm of The Mephisto Waltz. Alas, darkness falls upon This forsaken kingdom, Impending doom gathers in the Turbulent sky. I'm Duchess, or just D or Ms. D, and I am a poetess. I have been writing poetry for as long as I can remember. I also love Role Playing, preferring to do OCs. Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes

My life has become a David Bowie song.  Lots of changes. One, for the first time in a long time I will not be making my annual trip to New Orleans.  However, I will be doing something this year that I haven't done in years.  Live my own life.  No costumes, no pretending, just be me. And as you can tell by my profile pic my look has went through some changes, and long overdue at that.  For the first time in my life I feel liberated. Anyway, I'm going to make an effort to show up here on a somewhat regular basis so I can catch up with everyone. Much love~ D

That pretty much sums up this summer.  I've been putting in some crazy hours at work, and I've still have been able to get a few things accomplished. I finally finished A Storm Of Swords!!!  I happen to be taking a short break before I start A Feast For Crows to get started on the Black Dagger Brotherhood series by J. R. Ward.  In August, I will be doing a re-read of Nevermore by Kelly Creagh before the release of the second book of that series, Enshadowed.  If you have not read Nevermore, I highly suggest it. Other than that, not much to report. Hope you all are well and are keeping cool wherever you are. Sending my dA love, D~
